New Project (blog-a-day challenge, day 27)

Happy with the success of my swatch purse, I’ve decided to do something similar on a larger scale. Several years ago, I made this very large tote. It comes in handy when grocery shopping as it is roomy and the material is strong. It’s of a heavier material, albeit a somewhat loose weave, and lined. 02 (3)

My idea is to mix and match material, like with the swatch bag, but since I don’t have any of my own fabric designs in large enough pieces, I dug into my fabric collection. Below is what I’ve come up with – a very rough start; next step is to pick and choose some semi-coordinated pieces.

I’m using this project as practice for a possible future Spoonflower design/pattern. And it’ll be nice to have another strong, reusable, pretty grocery tote, too.
